Self sufficiency and my goals

  I had a dream!
I wished I could live in a decent house (where everything works) and have lots of kids (lol I did) and finally to be comfortable financially. I didn't want much; I just wanted some basic things. I have only achieved one of those things and we have 8 of them...kids that is!
We have always struggled to be able to afford things, especially when it came to what we wanted.
I have since changed my wants and desires to more basic things like, enough outlets in the kitchen, a better heating system, an electrical system in my house that won't shut down and have an attitude when I need to do laundry and dishes at the same time.
I have settled on the fact that it will take awhile to get where we would like to be and that's ok just so long as we are moving forward and not backward. This is our year for changes. This is our year to level up! (sorry, I'm a gamer of sorts). This is our year to make small adjustments in our life that will lead to bigger things to change our life.
I have wanted so much to be able to provide for our family without government assistance for some years now and it has finally become a reality for us. I don't judge anyone who needs to be on it. It is there for a reason, but i never intended to stay on it. I believe they keep you in a poverty state and don't allow you to be able to get out of it successfully (but thats a story for a different post).
I hope this blog will be the start of great things. I LOVE saving money and hopefully we can help each other reach our frugal goals and get to be financially stable so we can make things better for our family.

This is our family on Mothers day 2018 (minus one because he was in my tummy)
